Central Florida is
renowned for it’s attractions. All of the theme parks are a short distance
away from ‘Waterside’. Disney World
is just a 15 minutes drive,
Sea World 25
minutes
and Universal Studios/Islands
of Adventure 30 minutes away from the villa.
The house is also
extremely well placed for the Gulf Coast. It takes only an hour to reach
the west coast of Florida and it’s wonderful beaches or Busch Gardens theme park.
The Kennedy Space Center offers
an excellent day out for adults and children alike. It’s only an hour’s
drive away.
A day out at one of the
water parks is also time well spent. There are several terrific ones close
to the villa. Blizzard Beach is
one of the Disney water parks and is my particular favourite. That and Typhoon Lagoon, another excellent
Disney park are 15 minutes drive away. Wet n Wild is a ½ hour from the
house.
The shopping malls are
another good reason to visit the Orlando area. There are several superb
outlet malls like Belz
and Orlando Premium Outlets that sell designer goods at cheaper prices. The
Florida Mall is a huge indoor shopping heaven that accommodates most of the
big named American stores. For a real designer experience try the new Mall at Millenia
a beautiful shopping center with major designer stores like
Cartier, Gucci, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton. It also hosts some of
the more usual shops like Gap and Crate and Barrel.
